I'm in full form tonight, I guess. I walked out to put something in my recycle container and was greeted by my next door neighbor coming in. It was rather late and she had a friend with her. They had been talking about a cat they'd heard across the street. The friend asked if it were a real one or a fake one. I'm afraid I saw humor in that and asked, "Are they making fake cats now?" She said something like, "I wouldn't be surprised." And retreated into the house. By the sound of her reply, I'm afraid I might have insulted her in some way. Too many people are 'shocked and dismayed' by the most trivial of things these days. Her comment afforded an old guy a slight chuckle. I'd like to know what harm there is in that? This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium weight acid-free paper. Original Jones Art isn't shocked by much these days but he's dismayed a lot here in northwest Austin, Texas. Maybe they could market them as 'Faux Felines?'
