This is the other painting I was working on last weekend and finessing through the week. For whatever reason, the 'real' shadow is darker than the photo's. The flip side to hopeful optimism is disillusionment, I think. This is a 16 by 12 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. When disillusionment sets in, it can blanket an entire city, even one as
large as Austin, TX. ;)
If you look at the preliminary sketches I've added below, you will see the original sketch
and the secondary sketch with added/altered elements. I chose the initial sketch when I painted it but am now thinking of re-doing with some of the added elements. If you think it is worth a second go, please let me know. Thanks. :)
