The drawing I based this on had a beak coming out to the left past the nose but i didn't think it looked good as sculpture so omitted. The rings at the end came in process and it was after painting those that the words 'ring-tailed tooter' came to me. It was something my
grandfather used to say. He'd say, "That was a real ring-tailed tooter" which always meant to me that it was unusual or different. That title seems to work here. It stands approximately 8 inches tall. I'm using a more refined formula than I did with 'Red-Crested Bird." Ever notice how much I like hyphenated words? Original Jones Art? Well, if it isn't, I don't know what would be here in Austin, Texas.
