I've been very aware of time and our limited amount of it since high school when I saw my girl friend die in a car wreck. This event has probably influenced my whole life to some degree and the choices and non-choices I have made. I have instinctively moved toward things that have meaning for me instead of letting social mores dictate what I should or should not like or do. This is key to understanding my art and therefore me because, in the final analysis, there is no distinction between the two. This is a gel pen drawing on medium bond, acid-free paper and measures roughly 4 by 6 inches. I have said I do many drawings. This is probably something of an understatement but all of them are subject to the internal rules and obligations of Original Jones Art as it runs counter culturally here in Austin, Texas.
