The word means several things depending upon context but when I contemplate its meaning, I think of lost potential. There's being grounded,as 'into the dirt.' This happens so many times on a metaphorical level in our lives. There's grounded as 'the plane is grounded due to bad weather.' And I, of course, think of clipped wings and the inability to soar above mundane life. But that, of course, is me. This is an 8 by 5.75 inch drawing on medium bond acid-free paper.
