We are the product of all we have seen, heard and felt over our lifetimes. Some of it is that 'emotional baggage' that's bandied about so often. Some of it adheres to our core being and makes us who and what we are. But nowadays we see so much that is questionable, despicable, loathsome and heart-wrenching that we start shutting down or begin building a wall of indifference and apathy to protect ourselves. This might be good for 'self' but not for the collective as it erodes our sense of empathy to a point that we ourselves become questionable, despicable and loathsome. This is a 6 by 4 inches gel pen drawing on medium bond paper and another heart-wrenching example of Original Jones Art as he empathizes in a little house in the northwest corner of Austin, Texas.
