Longing

We are eternally longing for something. Most of us can not name the 'it' of their innermost desire. We just feel a void that needs to be filled somehow. Is it love, prestige, power or money? Is it as small a thing as a little understanding and appreciation? This is a 6 by 4 inches gel pen drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It might interest you to know that I usually begin a drawing in that area between the eyes and build the drawing from there. I have no preconceived idea as to what I want the drawing to look like. I just watch it materialize before my eyes. So with that small glimpse into my process, Original Jones Art says Happy Holidays and hopes just a bit of that indeterminate longing, that void, is filled this festive season.
