Reversal of fortune can be either a positive or a negative, I think, depending on your circumstance. I think it is used largely as a negative wherein something one is accustomed to is taken away. I think we all experience such a condition at some time in our lives. Hopefully, not too many times. Maybe this pandemic is ushering in something of the kind to lots of us.
