I find that my most meaningful work occurs when I just let it flow out. If I 'try' too hard, I feel the work to be artificial and too 'other' oriented. I have usually been able to siphon off excessive feelings via my work over the years. This has allowed me a certain livable balance. But currently I have little to feel but sorrow and sorrow on so many levels that it spills out like a river. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil and color gel. It's another example of Original Jones Art as he despairs of ever leaving his little house in northwest Austin, Texas.
