Dark Thoughts

Too long in isolation, living solely in one's head, can lead to some very dark thoughts. If one is ill of body or mind, this can lead to drastic and irreversible actions. In my case, it has lead to inaction and a feeling of hopelessness. As I attempt to overcome this dire lethargy, I am so relieved to know that I am lucky to be equipped with the tools to understand what I am going through and to counter-act. This is a 7 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. You see small marks of color pencil here and there as this was part of a backing sheet I used on my clipboard as I worked on several color pieces. I rather like the effect.
