To be serenely free of interruption or disturbance, to be at peace. This character oozes that feeling with placid skies and a placid disposition. Some astute individual might notice this a little different from my recent work. Well, like everything else, there's a reason. I was looking through an old poetry manuscript/notebook from around the early to mid-eighties and found a small sketch which I do NOT remember drawing but which obviously came from my hand. So I thought I would give a shot at reinterpretation via the person I am now versus the one when I was around 30 or possibly a bit younger. I neither signed no dated the sketch. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil on medium bond acid-free paper. It's Original Jones Art shaking hands with his younger self in northwest Austin, Texas.
