To shorten or condense is the usual definition. I have a tendency to reduce my figures to a few elemental parts. The why of it is also the why not of it, you might say. It could be I'm seeing how far I can go in reductive figuration. It could be part philosophical as I study Man as an incomplete or unfinished being.
