Scoring or scarring the paper pre-color can be bit problematic as 1. my eyes aren't quite what they used to be and 2. this is quite invisible to almost any eye before I put color over it. But I like the effect and so shall probably continue doing it for awhile. This is a 6.5 by 5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper.
