When I was a kid there was a TV show wherein ladies vied for the chance to be 'Queen For A Day.' There were prizes, of course, but upon winning the honor they would play Pomp and Circumstance while she was wrapped in a royal-looking cloak and crowned with what one would imagine to be a golden crown. You must remember, we all had black and white televisions throughout the 50's. Color sets didn't become prominent until the 60's. Obviously, times have changed and this dubious-looking character looks an odd choice for king, even for a day. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art keeps it original with a slight tint of nostalgia in northwest Austin, Texas.
