A King of Sorts

I did a drawing several years back with this title. The character in it also had a small crown cocked to one side on its head. It is made of my special compound, wood, newsprint and two glass beads. It stands 15.75 inches tall, 5 inches deep and 5 inches wide. It represents just over a month's worth of work though the weather outside did not cooperate during some of this time. Some would-be kings want folks to think they are blue-blooded---but try just a might too hard. Original Jones Art just keeping busy in northwest Austin, Texas. During the early stages of working on the face, I noticed a similarity to a childhood friend of mine. He passed away some time back. It's interesting how embedded memories can back into the present.
