Self-Possessed

It's interesting. If one is just possessed either by an idea or an alien entity, that's bad. But if one is self-possessed, that is usually defined as a positive or worthwhile trait. Of course, I guess, anything can be taken to the extreme and self-possession can become haughty arrogance and a superiority complex.
